“As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience Bear with one another…” Colossians 3:14-15.
With your help we want to continue to serve the Lord by caring for each other and strengthening the bonds within the Reformation Lutheran Family. Our goal is that our members, friends and visitors will feel the love of God when the walk into our church.
A ministry that is offered to do our best to reach out to those in our church family to provide, with your help the true sense of “family”. Greeting you with a smile and hug each Sunday and also reach out to those who are hurting or lost in their time of need and truly be the “hands and feet” of God by serving with purpose. Since our committee is very small we appreciate the help of those who are able and willing to help with this very important ministry.
Cards are sent to those in the hospital, significant birthdays and anniversaries and sympathy cards.
Visits to shut-ins and taking communion to members unable to attend church. Visiting those in hospital.
We provide Prayer shawls which are a tangible way to comfort those with serious illness or at a time of bereavement.
Ways YOU can help:
– Deliver flowers after church service –
– Provide rides to church or church function to those unable to drive.
– Help to valet park a car for someone with difficulty walking to car.
We strive to encourage our church family to reach out to one another in love. Make an effort to recognize and welcome visitors as well.
We recently started something new. Every 3-4 weeks we provide a card for all of the attendees at Reformation to sign, giving greetings, words of encouragement, or just a signature. The card is then send to a shut-in who is unable to attend worship in person. It has been a great success so far.
